I take photographs of village children in schools learning English
compulsorily, or document NGO efforts to 'eradicate' poverty,
I am facing my post-colonial reality every step of the way. As
a member of my class, I have the 'proper' education, even the
knowledge of photography. But if I am to go beyond what photographers-men
have done before me, I must create my own set of visual codes,
