In memory of Felani Khatun, who was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on 7 January 2011, an exhibition titled ‘Border that Bleeds’ by Parvez Ahmad Rony was held in cooperation with Drik. So far, the BSF has brutally killed about 1400 civilian Bangladeshi citizens on the India-Bangladesh border.
Parvez Ahmed Rony has worked on this issue on various borders with India and Bangladesh from 2012 to 2024. 24 selected photographs from his work were exhibited in 'Border That Bleeds'. Felani's mother, Jahanara Begum, and father, Noor Islam, were also present during the inauguration.
